Artist Biography:
Bertram Morrish fl. c.1900
A watercolour painter of landscapes and especially moorland scenes. He was
the eldest son of the Chagford artist William Morrish (1844-1917) and his
style shows the influence of his father's work. He was a prolific artist and
many of the subjects were views of Devon and specifically Dartmoor.
He exhibited two pictures at the Brighton Arts Club Exhibition of 1901, entitled The Old Cross and The Cottages on the Hill.
