Tout - Peter Ronald Buchanan

We are pleased to offer this collection of 1920/30's original caricature illustrations by TOUT. Superb draughtsman ship and characterization featuring many of the horse racing 'names' of the day some of which were published in the Tatler.

BUCHANAN Peter Ronald C. 1870-1950
Known as The Tout he worked as a sports cartoonist and caricaturist for the News of the World and Tatler in the 1930’s and exhibited 128 drawings at Walker's Gallery, London, in 1931.

Produced two full page collections of racing driver caricatures for The Motor Magazine. These were given away as colour supplements on 3rd August and 26th September 1922, his main subjects were horse racing; owners, breeders and jockeys.

"
