Artist Biography:
Tom Rowden (1864 - 1926). A self taught landscape artist who at one time lived
at 169, Great Portland Street. London but moved to Exeter in 1890 . He is
well known for his endearing studies of cattle and ponies on Dartmoor, he
also painted in the Scottish highlands and occasionally painted seascapes.
He died on the 15th of May 1926. Exhibited 2 at the Royal Hibernian Academy
and also at the Slade gallery in 1883.
