Biography:
Born on 24th August 1878 at Portishead, Somerset near Bristol. Assistant art master at Clifton College.
Landscape and animal painter in water colour and oil and also an author.
Exhibited from 1909 to 1932. 6@RA, 12@RCA, 1@RI, 3@ROI, also at R. Cam.A and Paris Salon.
Elected to the Royal watercolour Society in 1910.
Works included: 'Sunlit Pastures', 'The Drinking Pool', 'The Harvest Moon', 'Tranquil Evening'.
His books were entitled: 'Drawing and Construction of Animals' and 'Animal Painting'.
Lived at Bushey, Herts in 1909, Oxhey, Watford, Herts in 1911 and Clifton Bristol in 1913.
